Mission Statement

Thank you for taking the time to look at the Equilibrium LS board.~~

Equilibrium, as an LS is planned to be the embodiment of fairness and enjoyment for this game. This linkshell is going to back to how we all started the game: great people with high hopes, and respect for one another. I want it to be ran and played like all the members are friends. The end game is about equipping your characters with the best gear available and defeating the hardest monsters there are. That won't change in Equilibrium. But, we will change the approach to doing it.

Some of the older members of HNM linkshells on the server remember the start to them all. It was truly friends getting together to have fun with new challenges. People came running to all NMs called in the linkshell. When the sought after items dropped, people who needed it would pass to others who needed it, knowing that they would get theirs in the next day or two. People would help with any missions or quests that the group needed. Now, with the growth of members in the LS, a lot of the sense of friendship and camaraderie has gone. There are new members that hardly anyone knows. There are cliques of people who help each other but no one outside that circle. And an element of greed has crept in with the influx. There are people who only come to events and camps if there is something in it for them.

Equilibrium is an attempt to go back to the old times. HNM camping and helping each other used to be fun, and I am going to try to renew this. I know this is going to be hard. The elements I've talked about in the LS's happen to everyone. They weren't intended by any leaders. And most members aren't that way. But, unfortunately it only takes a few people to bring the rest down, or to give the rest a bad reputation. We will be enforcing the guidelines that we will be listing below. We want to keep the LS simple and pure to what it is meant to be and WILL NOT allow the greed and selfishness that that effects our actions and reputation to creep in.

That being said, here are the guidelines for members of this linkshell:

1) Members will respect one another.- This is in both word and deed. No lying, no insults, no fighting, no backbiting will be tolerated. Disagreements happen but they can be resolved in civil ways. People should be free to voice their opinions without having someone insult, belittle, or be condescending to them.

2) Members will be respectful to other linkshells.- Again, disagreements between linkshells happen. We are in a high competition game. But, if members are courteous and respectful when they speak to other LS's, we will receive equal treatment and respect. Discuss matters. DO NOT shout, throw insults, and do other things that bring dishonor to you and the linkshell you represent.

3) Members will try to be at all planned LS events.- We are not here to run your life, but all members look to the leadership when it comes to events. This is a group effort and being absent or tardy for poor reasons is disrespectful to the leaders and other members of this LS. I want you all to have lives. There is no reason to give up your friendships and other family LS's to be a part of this LS. I encourage you all to have family LS's. You will have ample free time to be with them. But do come to all planned events unless work, illness, or other real life matters come up.

4) Members will not MPK or steal Mobs.- This is my hot button. This is the most rude, vile, disrespectful thing you can do to another group. You are going to be wronged in the end game experience. It comes with the territory. There are people who will do these things to you. We can't control this, but we can control our actions. In continually showing this respect to others, I truly think it will be contagious. Be an example for others to follow. Don't sink to that level.

These rules WILL be enforced.- We are not someone who is going to kick you the first time you make a mistake. These rules are more about character of players than anything. We want members to share our views about respecting each other. If a rule is broken we want the member to make amends. If an accidental provoke goes of and you claim another groups mob, invite their members to the alliance and then leave the area so that group gets it back. Offer your apologies. Don't just blow it off, be respectful. Action will be taken you will receive a warning. If a member continually breaks rules, that person will be asked to leave, or have the pearl broken. It won't matter if you are friend, veteran, or new member. We encourage you all to speak up if any of us should ever be at fault of breaking these rules too.

We are going to get all the item drops that any HNM LS gets. And they will be awarded to deserving members who show a willingness to work and earn them. Priorities will be assigned by attendance and performance at events. And will be going to great lengths to make sure item distribution is fair.
